Have you seen Resurrection yet? I recently had the chance to screen episode 2, “Unearth“, before it airs tonight at 9/8 central. After I watched episode 2, the Executive Producers, Tara Butters and Michele Fazekas, came in to chat with our group and to answer a few questions. It’s always a treat to meet the producers of shows I enjoy. Resurrection is based loosely on the book “The Return” by Jason Mott, but we were warned that the book won’t give you answers on the show as the show doesn’t exactly follow the book.
The Executive Producers that chatted with us told us that every character that comes back from the dead will be centralized in the little town of Arcadia. This is a very specific, localized event.
ABC’s Resurrection stars Mark Hildreth as Pastor Tom Hale, Kurtwood Smith as Henry Langston, Landon Gimenez as Jacob Langston, Frances Fisher as Lucille Langston, Omar Epps as J. Martin Bellamy, Devin Kelley as Maggie Langston, Matt Craven as Fred Langston, Samaire Armstrong as Elaine Richards and Sam Hazeldine as Caleb Richards. (ABC/Bob D’Amico)
The ripple effects of Jacob’s return are felt all over the town and that’s interesting. – Michele Fazekas
If you aren’t familiar with Resurrection then let me give you a little introduction.
The people of Arcadia, Missouri are changed forever when their deceased loved ones suddenly start to return. An 8-year old American boy wakes up alone in China with no idea how he got there. Details start to emerge when the boy, who calls himself Jacob, recalls that his hometown is Arcadia, and an Immigration agent, J. Martin Bellamy, takes him there.

On a side note: if you are a fan of the show HOUSE, I hope you’ll be able to spot J. Martin Bellamy’s ode to Gregory House. I picked up on it, will you?
What would you do if your deceased loved ones suddenly started coming back to life? A little freaky right? I’d say so. I know we all have had dreams from time to time about what we would say or how we would feel if someone we loved had died and come back to life…but not in creepy zombie way, in a really normal way. What would we ask our loved ones if they came back to us? Seeing this exact thing happen on the new Sunday night ABC series, Resurrection is a whole new ball game. What lies and truths will get unearthed and how will everyone in Arcadia, Missouri be effected?
Tune in tonight at 9/8c for an all new episode of ABC’s Resurrection.
