_225_350_Book.592.coverI just put down Simple Secrets to a Happy Life by Luci Swindoll and I really enjoyed it. Luci highlights 50 ways to make the most of every day. I don’t know about you but I could always use a little advice on how to make the most of each day and extract little bits of happiness here and there. This was a very easy book to read because each ‘Part’ was only about a page or two long.

Here’s an example of some of the chapters. Make Something With Your Hands, Look For Ways To Help, Discover What Makes People Tick, Learn To Organize Your Stuff, you get the idea. Luci references bible passages and words of wisdom from her parents and friends to help give her advice. Luci talks about her personal life a lot when trying to convey why each of her points is so important to a happy life. Most of Luci’s advice I’ve already heard from my mom growing up but it was nice to be reminded of some things. The one thing I will take away from this book is how much I miss keeping a journal. I do blog for a living but I do miss putting pen to paper.

I did .enjoy my review of Simple Secrets to a Happy Life but I don’t think I would have paid $15.99  for this book. This is why, over my 31 years I’ve heard most of this advice from women in my life, my parents and at church plus most of the advice Luci writes about is just common sense. You’ll find this book a simple and easy read and would be a great gift for just about anyone in your life.

I was sent a complimentary copy of this book to review from BookSneeze. I was not asked nor was I financially compensated for writing this review
