The kids are alright. Better yet, they are amazing, happy, and busy enjoying every second of their little lives. We’ve had a few things go wrong lately, baby Sean had strep throat. Jasmine had a tonsil scare that we will continue to monitor. Hopefully Jasmine won’t need her tonsils removed, but only time can tell. During baby Sean’s examination the other day the doctor told me that his tonsils are larger than normal. So, it’s safe to say, both J and her brother have larger than normal tonsils and might them taken out sometime down the road.
J continues to excel in the 1st grade, her only hiccup is math. Since Jasmine seems to have inherited my math block, I have her going to tutoring after school once a week. I really hope she can work past it. I’d hate to see her struggle through school like I did with math. Looking back on it, I have no idea how I actually graduated. I took Algebra in summer school, used Chemistry as a math credit and just barley made it out of high school. Darn you math.
Getting these two together for a photo is nearly impossible. I like a candid photo more than a boring posed photo where the kids are forced to smile. In the above photo, their unique personalities shine through. These two have an amazing connection, Sean boy adores his older sister. I get choked up sometimes watching them interact. I hope these two have a close connection for the rest of their lives, similar to my brother and I.
Then I turn around to this. J posing behind me begging me to take her photo, which never happens. So I obliged.
We are busy planning Halloween costumes, getting through 1st grade math and trying not to worry too much. We are enjoying some amazing fall weather here in Louisiana and even went and bought a few pumpkins to decorate the front stoop with. It’s only a matter of time before this little pumpkin smasher ruins them. Sean boy thinks the pumpkins are balls.
Life is what happens while you are busy making other plans.
