Fabulous Mom Blog is heading to Los Angeles for a fun-filled, week-long Disney press trip. I’ve got a full itinerary ahead of me and I’m looking forward to it all. I’m also excited to share this trip with my community through all of my social media channels, so make sure you’re following. I’ll leave for LA on March 9th and won’t arrive home until early Friday morning on March 14th. This will be the longest press trip I’ve ever been on. It will also be the longest I’ve ever been away from my daughter.
I’ll be in LA with a group of 25 bloggers, and while we are there we’ll screen a few movies, head to the LA Zoo, tour the ABC Studios, attend a red carpet premiere at the El Capitan Theatre, probably visit DisneyToon Studies, Walt Disney Studio lot, and who knows what else. Marshall, our “tour guide”, hasn’t given us our exact itinerary yet.
Muppets Most Wanted
On March 11th, our group will attend the red carpet (maybe green carpet) premiere of Muppets Most Wanted (opening in theaters on 3/21). Yours truly will also have the unique opportunity to interview Kermit the Frog, Miss Piggy, and additional cast and filmmakers from the movie. The world premiere will be happening in Hollywood at the legendary El Capitan Theatre. Find Muppets Most Wanted on Facebook and on Twitter @TheMuppets and join in on the conversation. Be sure to follow the hashtag on Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram #MuppetsMostWantedEvent.
Captain America: The Winter Soldier
A screening of Marvel’s Captain America: The Winter Soldier (opening in theaters on 4/4) will be happening, too. After screening the film, we will interview TBD cast and filmmakers at the press junket. I’m seriously hoping I get to see Chris Evans in the flesh, fingers crossed! Follow the conversation about this film on Facebook and follow on Twitter @CaptainAmerica #CaptainAmerica & #CaptainAmericaEvent.
As if that wasn’t awesome enough, I’ll also screen The Pirate Fairy (available 4/1) and visit the Bears exhibit at the LA Zoo after screening Disneynature’s BEARS (opening in theatres on 4/18) on the Walt Disney Studios lot.
Once the Disney adventures conclude on Wednesday, our group will have the unique opportunity to stay an extra day and take a behind-the-scenes tour of hit shows Grey’s Anatomy, General Hospital and The Middle on Thursday. We will also watch exclusive sneak peeks of the series Trophy Wife, Shark Tank, and Resurrection.
On Thursday morning, our group will visit the set of The Middle, host a Q&A with the creators and executive producers, Eileen Heisler and DeAnn Heline (who each grew up in the Midwest and created the show largely based on their own experiences), screen an upcoming episode and also meet and greet with available cast members. I can’t wait for this!
