Our family bonds over Disney Channel Original Movies. My children watch the previews on The Disney Channels for what seems like an eternity before the Disney Channel Original Movie (DCOM) airs. The latest DCOM, Bad Hair Day, is airing tonight, and along with the kids I’m excited, mostly because I screened Bad Hair Day with one of the Executive Producers and stars of the movie, Leigh-Allyn Baker (“Good Luck Charlie”).

Laura Marano (Austin & Ally) along with Leigh-Ally Baker (Good Luck Charlie) come together in this adventure which follows Monica “Laura Marano”, a high school tech-whiz whose prom day abruptly shifts into a not-so-typical day.

The movie opens to Monica on the morning of her senior prom, a wild head of hair, and her senior prom dress completely destroyed. When Monica is mistakenly enlisted by Liz (Leigh-Allyn Baker), a down-on-her-luck cop hot on the trail of missing jewels, Monica’s prom day goes from bad to worse. From Monica’s crazy morning to meeting Liz, her day quickly turns into a wild ride across town. And when I say wild ride, I mean it. This movie has legit car chases in it, and funnier-than-life strong female adult staring role.

During a recent press trip to LA for Disney and ABC, our group of bloggers was able to sit in and screen Bad Hair Day with Leigh-Allyn Baker. And because we are a group of bloggers, Leigh-Allyn really liked when we all got excited that this movie talks about Search Engine Optimization (SEO), tech talk, and computer jargon, we got it!

There is something in Bad Hair Day for every member of the family. Bad Hair Day is filled with lots of heart, comedy, and strong messages, and will keep you guessing all the way through.
