I couldn’t find one single paper carton. My milk was in a plastic gallon size container, my juice was also in a plastic container. What?! How and when did I allow this to happen? I guess I hadn’t been putting much tough into cartons and their benefits. I couldn’t believe I didn’t have any cartons in my fridge.

After checking out Choose Cartons and learning some very interesting facts I’ve decided to green my routine and choose cartons. Choosing cartons over plastic is an easy way to be eco-friendly. I did some research and I was quite discouraged when I couldn’t find any recycling centers near me that accepted paper cartons. I don’t live in a very eco-friendly region, its difficult to recycle, I need to do something about it.

Did you know that shoppers who care choose cartons, Kroger, Whole Foods and Wal-Mart carry more products in paper cartons! What to do something more? Recycle your cartons, or if you don’t have carton recycling, petition your local government to make carton recycling available in your community.

Here’s some interesting facts for you:

Show your support by educating others about the benefits of paper cartons.  Every carton fact shared, via Twitter, using the hashtag #choosecartons will help raise money for Habitat for Humanity®. I’ve made tweeting super easy for you. Just Retweet the tweet at the bottom of this post. There’s nothing to it, easy peasy lemon squeezy!

Do you buy juice and milk in paper cartons as part of an environmentally friendly lifestyle? I’ve already started, it’s simple, let’s band together and help save this precious planet for our children and their children to follow.
