Perfect Little Candid Camera
With the most recent leaks of the iPhone 8, a phone set to celebrate the 10th anniversary of Apple’s first ever iPhone, we can confirm the 7 will most likely become a generation forgotten along with the 5C and 3G. Remember those? Probably not. And eventually, neither will you remember the 7. Considered an underwhelming smartphone in all regards with more than its fair share of design problems, the 7 doesn’t have a lot going for it.
If the rumors are true, it looks like Apple reserved its biggest innovations for the upcoming 8. Just comparing its potential wireless charge with the 7’s wireless headphones, and you can see how Apple may have fudged up with the 7. Soon enough, it will be eclipsed by the 8’s shadow.
Though it was dubbed a boring smartphone, the 7 isn’t without some attractive specs. In particular is the amazing dual lens camera fitted into every 7 and 7 Plus. At a point in our history when the selfie is reigning supreme and everyone has an IG account, this is a pretty important achievement for the tech company.
Photography has taken on a whole new meaning with its improved camera, and we probably have Samsung to thank. The Galaxy S7 family (and now the S8 line too) have impressive, crystal clear cameras in their own right, and their capabilities were biting at the heels of the iPhone. If Apple’s marketing campaign is to be believed, iPhone should have the best camera out there. If Apple was being honest, it will have no choice but to match Samsung.
The 12-megapixel dual camera can pick up a stunning amount of details in its pics. With the ability to switch between a wide 28 mm angle and a 56 mm telephoto lens, users can zoom in and out without disrupting image clarity. And let’s not forget about the 7-megapixel front-facing camera designed to take the best selfies. It’s also outfitted with a lightning quick f1.8 aperture with 6 element lens that’s perfect for low-light snaps. All in all, it amounts to a responsive camera that can take better, brighter, and sharper photographs regardless of the time of day or setting.
But, since this is the 7 we’re talking about, there has to be something wrong with it. The enhanced lens comes with a noticeable bulge on the back of smartphone. Not only does this bump catch on your pocket every time you check the time, its protrusion attracts scratches and scrapes. Luckily, a quick application of an iPhone skin can protect the aluminum from these damages.
If you made the mistake of choosing a Jet Black iPhone, be sure to get a skin from dbrand. Its vinyl iPhone skins will cover up the scratches and smudges you collected and add considerable grip to the slipperiest handset on the market today. As an added bonus when you search through the iPhone 7 plus skins from dbrand, you’re shopping from exclusive designs that improve stock colors with premium textures you can’t find anywhere else.
Taking a look at the quality of photographs the camera can produce, we can almost forgive Apple for the problems inherent in the 7 and 7 Plus. Once you equip your phone with some of these photography apps, and you’ll be able to take breathtaking pics regardless of your skill level as an artist. If, however, you’re looking for more impressive specs, the iPhone 8 is slated to be the phone we all deserve. Luckily, we won’t have to wait much longer to see how it measures up.
