I wish I could make myself blog more often, but I just can’t. I have so many deadlines for work-related blogging that I just don’t get the time to blog like I used to. I really wish I had the discipline to blog when something important happens, or when I get a great idea. But normally those ideas fly in my head, then they fly out. I just don’t have the time to blog for the sake of blogging, like I used to, like we all used to.

Once again we found ourselves at the camp this past weekend. I’m pretty sure this will be the last weekend we spend at our camp as a family this summer. It’s just too much work to pack up, unpack, keep up with the kids, make and clean up meals, and on top of that, do all the things that makes going to the camp fun: fishing, exploring, 4-wheeling, and hunting-related things. It’s just too much, and I’m done. If the kids weren’t so much work, then maybe it wouldn’t be so damn hard, but it is and I know how to drop the tough things, and cutting out overnight at the camp is a good way for me to start. I’m still doing laundry from the weekend at the camp… see what I mean, it never ends.

Despite my recent discovery that the camp is way too much work and we won’t spend the night again for a while, at least until the kids are older, we did have a good time. Let me rephrase that…we kind of had a good time. Those 10 minutes I got to put my feet up and read, those were good, but almost everything else was work, and I’m tired.

This is my favorite bend in the river. So many pebbles, quietness, and serenity. I’d love to have our camp right on the river at this particular bend.

I finally downloaded a self-timer photo app so photos like this could be possible. No one is left out of our group shot, and the kids get to have some photo taking fun. The app is called TimerCam.

+++++++++++++++++++++

Did you notice a change here? I had a few small changes made. It’s a bit more colorful, but I didn’t lose the glitter, just had the glitter color changed.

I’m tired, but I think I mentioned that already.

I finished Looking for Alaska this week. I’m trying to read all the books I know will be turned into movies. Next on my list, If I Stay. What have you been reading?

I’m hooked on Madmen. I recently started season 3 and now my poor husband will never be able to catch up. I can’t stop watching. It won’t be long before I start on season 4.

#shareacoke

Finally! I found a Coke with my name on it. I also found my husband’s name. I walked into a tiny country store last weekend and these two sodas were right next to each other. I had been searching for weeks, but couldn’t find either name. Now I have both!

Hope you have a great weekend. TGIF!

  1. Although I don’t drink soda, I love these coke bottles and have been on the hunt for a few names. We are off to our week long beach vacation today. Love the family memories.

    I love sitting by the river in a quiet spot. The bend you show looks so peaceful and quiet. I would bring a chair and a book.
