I was in attendance for the Monsters University Premiere and Tailgate Party at El Capitan Theatre in Hollywood #MonstersUPremiere. The event kicked-off with a tailgate party on Hollywood Boulevard, complete with the MU pep squad drum corps and cheerleaders, the Disneyland All-American college band, and an appearance by Mike and Sulley! Also, ESPN College Scareday provided play-by-play commentary on the blue carpet.

I really enjoyed the MU pep squad drum corps, a lot! Every where I looked I saw cheerleaders pumping up the crowd and stopping to take photos with tailgaters. The Disneyland All-American college band was amazing, I felt like I was back in college.

There is nothing more exciting than pulling up to a premiere in a blacked out party bus and eager fans lining the streets, waving, because they assume you’re famous. There is no shame in my game; I waved back. My ‘sorority sisters’ and I mingled through the MU tailgate party, down Hollywood Blvd and in front of the iconic El Capitan Theatre. There were food tents set up, college themed games for all of us to play, and celebrities, lots of celebrities. I had so much fun star-spotting.

I will never forget this experience as long as I live! Mingling with the stars and their children, playing tailgate themed games, enjoying delicious food, and having fun with my blogging friends, I enjoyed every second of my Monsters University experience. I also grabbed a few photos with some of my daughter’s favorite Disney stars. There is nothing like scoring cool mom points by posing with my child’s favorite young teen stars. My daughter thinks it’s so cool that her mom got to talk to ‘Deuce’, from Shake It Up!

Not sure if Monsters University is for your child? Watch for my full review of the film to go live here at Fabulous Finds by Tiffany within the next couple of days.
