Rarely do I have time just for me. I don’t even have time to go to the bathroom without a knock on the door or a child barging in uninvited. The kids always seem to come first and sometimes I forget that I need me time. The other day while my husband was driving and I was in the passenger seat I had a moment to look at myself. I noticed my hands were dry and my skin was scaly. I didn’t have that pretty winter glow I like to have. It was at that moment I realized I needed to indulge myself with a little personal pampering time with NIVEA #NIVEAmoments. I headed to Sam’s Club for some NIVEA lotion. I needed some other things too, plus, the kids seem to really enjoy Sam’s Club, so off we went.
The NIVEA Essentially Enriched Twin Pack of 16.9 oz bottles were only $8.98. This is why I’m a Sam’s Club member, to save money. Personal pampering time is definitely important to me but it must be done on a budget.
The very first thing I do when I have manage to sneek off and grab some time for myself is to give myself a facial. I found an anti-stress dead sea minerals masque buried deep in my bathroom drawer. It’s amazing how refreshed my skin feels after giving myself a facial. Next time I won’t wait so long in between facials. I deserve a facial at least once a week.
Facial
After my facial I soaked in the tub for a bit. I love taking a bath and having my iPod turned on at the same time. Lately I’ve listened to a lot of Mumford and Sons, their music so relaxing. I found some bath salts under my bathroom sink and indulged myself in the relaxing aroma of eucalyptus. While soaking in the tub I still had a child wonder in and out to ask me if I could help them with a thing or two. A mother’s work is very done. I think when kids see the bathroom door shut they think it’s an invitation to come on in. Why is that?

Moisturizing My Skin with NIVEA
I ended my afternoon of pampering with NIVEA lotion. Since I don’t have a personal masseuse hidden away in my closet I rubbed my own feet, feels just as good. I don’t know why I waited so long to spend sometime of myself and give myself some personal pampering time. Next time I won’t wait so long.

Thanks for the reminder that I need more me time :). We use Nivea in our house as well because my son’s skin is soooo dry.
I need a mini spa day at home, it’s been far too long!
Ahhh….. That looks so relaxing! I need a good at-home spa day! 🙂
That sounds so fun and relaxing! I have dry flaky skin too…it happens every winter. I will have to try this.
A bath sounds like an amazing idea. I haven’t been able to take one in peace in a while. Actually… ever since we were in LA! 🙂 I need to find some “me” time soon. Thanks for the reminder.
This sounds amazing. I can remember doing things like this for myself before getting married and having my son. I should do this. When I have time to relax, I’m usually reading blogs or looking at Facebook. That’s not as relaxing as it should be. 🙁
WOW! Tiff This is really cool and your presentation is AWESOME 🙂
