Vicks DayQuil & NyQuil give me relief when I’m not feeling well, which was actually just last week. One minute I was fine, the next I had a sore throat, my neck was stiff, my head was pounding and I couldn’t stop sneezing. It’s crazy just how fast a cold can creep up. I felt pounding in my head when I had to lean over, I was miserable. I went to bed right after I got both of the children down for the night. I measured out the recommended dosage of NyQuil Cold & Flu Relief and before I knew I was ready for bed. I fell right asleep, it was amazing, such relief.

I don’t think I woke up at all that night. I normally toss and turn, wake because I think I hear a child crying or calling for me. I heard absolutely nothing that night. I didn’t feel 100% when I woke but I did feel rested, and that’s important. I don’t get a day off and I can’t call in sick. I have to wake up and report for duty, or  in other words, get the kids up and out the door.

When I awoke from my slumber I took two Vicks DayQuil Cold & Flu Relief LiquiCaps. My symptoms were suppressed but I was still able to work, and stay awake. When I am down with a cold there is usually no one here to take care of me. I have to continue on with carpools, caring for the children, daily chores, laundry, cooking, and cleaning. The only time I rest is when I climb into bed at the end of the day. I depend of Vicks NyQuil to give me a good night’s sleep when I’m not feeling well.

The relief provided by Vicks NyQuil Cold & Flu Relief is a result of three active ingredients that work to fight symptoms of a cough, cold or flu. Specifically, the ingredients in NyQuil Cold & Flu Relief help relieve symptoms by suppressing the urge to cough, reducing a fever, alleviating minor aches and pains, and relieving sneezing and runny nose.

A few days later I was back up and running at full capacity. Owed mostly in part to NyQuil for such amazing medicine and allowing my body to rest at night when it needed rest the most.

Vicks NyQuil Cold & Flu Relief is safe and effective when used according to package directions. For more information, please review the Drug Facts section on the package.

Being a Mom, we tend to put our family’s needs and overall health before our own. Knowing we can’t take a sick day from being Mom, what are some things you do to try to prevent yourself from getting sick?

I participated in a campaign on behalf of Mom Central Consulting for Vicks DayQuil & NyQuil. I received product samples and a promotional item as a thank you for participating.

Hey there, I’m Tiffany! I’m a work-at-home mom of two rambunctious children (Jasmine, 9 + Sean II, 5) and recently widowed at just 35 years old. I've remarried and currently live right outside of Baton Rouge in Denham Springs, Louisiana with two adoring cats and a dog. Let's connect on Twitter @fabulousmomblog.

  1. I have never been a fan of taking lots of cold meds but you know, sometimes you just need to! As a mom, we don’t have the luxury to have much down time 🙂

  2. What managed to get me through this winter unscathed was taking a multi vitamin every single day along with an additional Vitamin D supplement. I down them every morning with a glass of Naked or Bolthouse Farms Blue Machine!

  3. We use NyQuil and DayQuil pretty regularly when we are sick. (I don’t now that I am breastfeeding but my husband does.) We like the pill form instead of the liquid form.
