I’m being provided with a free 2 night stay, some foods, parking, and wi-fi. For the days not covered, I paid a reduced media rate. All thoughts and opinions are 100% my own. No monetary compensation was given.
The Cruz family is taking an end of the summer (early fall) vacation. We are heading about 4.5 hours east towards Florida for a little fun in the sun. I’m excited to say we’ll be staying at the Hilton Sandestin Beach Golf Resort and Spa for a long weekend. This will be the first time we’ve all been to the beach together since our youngest was born. I took just the kids last May to Virginia Beach, and they loved it. Unfortunately, my husband had to stay behind and work. This time he gets to go! I can’t wait for us all to dig our toes into the sand and play in the surf. My mom will be joining us as well, which makes this trip even more exciting.
I’ve heard nothing but great things from my friends who have already had the pleasure of staying at Hilton Sandestin Beach Golf Resort & Spa. If you’ve never heard of Hilton Sandestin before, it’s a full-service resort hotel, located directly on the sugar-white sands of Northwest Florida’s Gulf Coast!
My kids are most excited about the bunk beds inside the Deluxe Junior Suite that we’ll be in. I’m excited to kick back with a drink in my hands, toes in the sand, and a good book to help pass the time.
About Hilton Sandestin
For three decades as Northwest Florida’s only full-service beachfront resort, Hilton Sandestin Beach has successfully provided guests with all they could ask for, and more. Offerings include indoor and outdoor pools, poolside cabanas, day and nighttime children’s programs, babysitting services, a game room and six distinct dining options, ranging from fine to beachy-casual. The spacious Deluxe Junior Suites feature private alcoves with bunk beds, sleeper sofas and state-of-the-art media centers. Activities include beach volleyball, bike riding, golf, tennis, stand-up paddleboarding, kayaking, fishing and boating. Conveniently close to the hotel are Destin’s best family friendly attractions, including a zip line, water park, aquarium and go-karts. We offer everything a family might need, from cribs to beach chairs and umbrellas.
Hilton Sandestin boasts three heated pools, one indoor, and two outdoor, along with two whirlpools and a toddler pool. And let’s not forget this all overlooks the Gulf of Mexico. My husband and I might spend some time alone at Serenity Spa or even venture off-property to explore the many attractions in Destin and the surrounding area. The Village of Baytowne Wharf looks pretty inviting and fun.
Follow my family and I along as we travel to Hilton Sandestin. I’ll also share more about our visit after we return. Watch for a follow-up blog post with more personal photos and what we though of our stay. Are we Instagram friends? We should be. Find me on Instagram instagram.com/fabulousmom. I’ll use the hashtag #FMBlogTravel if you’d like to follow along on our travels.
My family and I will head out this coming Friday. It’s about a four hour drive for us from Baton Rouge to Hilton Sandestin. I’ve never been to a Florida beach before so this is even more exciting than normal. I’m looking forward to falling in love with the gulf coast and going on a new adventure with my family. We haven’t even left yet and I know we’ll want to do this again next year.
